Overview
Cloudclerk includes keyboard shortcuts throughout the dashboard to help you work faster. This page lists every shortcut available, grouped by category. On Mac, "Mod" refers to the Command key. On Windows and Linux, use Ctrl in place of Cmd.
Navigation
- ⌘+K — Open the global search command palette
- ⌘+B — Toggle the sidebar open or closed
- ⌘+J — Open the AI assistant panel
Creating New Items
Press N on any list page to create a new item. This shortcut is available on the following pages:
- Clients — opens the create client page
- Tasks — opens the create task page
- Invoices — opens the create invoice dialog
- Documents — opens the upload document dialog
- Calendar — opens the create event dialog
- Time Records — opens the create time record page
- Processes — opens the create process dialog
- Proposals — opens the create proposal page
- Packages — opens the create package page
- Services — opens the create service dialog
- Campaigns — opens the create campaign dialog
- Reports — opens the create report page
- Risk Assessments — opens the create risk assessment page
- Document Requests — opens the create document request dialog
- Settings → Members — opens the invite team member dialog
The N shortcut is disabled when your cursor is inside a text field, search box, or any other input. You can always use it safely from the main page view.
Forms
- ⌘+↵ — Submit the current form. Works on every form in the dashboard, including create and edit pages, dialogs, and settings.
Confirmation Dialogs
- ↵ — Confirm the action in a confirmation dialog
- Esc — Cancel and close the dialog
- ⇧+CLICK — Hold Shift while clicking a destructive action (such as Delete) to skip the confirmation dialog entirely and execute the action immediately
Use ⇧+CLICK with care. The action runs immediately with no confirmation step.
AI Assistant
- ⌘+J — Toggle the AI assistant panel open or closed
- ↵ — Send your message (inside the AI chat input)
- ⇧+↵ — Insert a new line without sending (inside the AI chat input)
Messaging
- ⌘+↵ — Send a message in the compose bar (used in client messages and other conversation threads)
Data Tables
- ⌘+CLICK — Select or deselect a row without navigating to it. Use this to build a multi-selection for bulk actions.
Inline Editing
- ↵ — Confirm an inline edit (such as renaming a document or editing a time record)
- Esc — Cancel an inline edit and revert to the original value
General
- Esc — Close any open dialog, sheet, or popover
