Overview
Signing requests let you send a document to a client contact for digital signature. The contact receives a unique link where they can sign by drawing or typing their signature. You can track the status of every request from the Signing Requests page, and a PDF certificate is generated once the document is signed.
The Signing Requests Page
Select Signing Requests in the sidebar. The page shows a table with the following columns:
- Document — the file name of the document sent for signing.
- Client — the client the request belongs to.
- Contact — the person who was asked to sign.
- Status — Pending, Viewed, Signed, Declined, or Cancelled.
- Sent By — the staff member who created the request.
- Created — when the request was sent.
- Signed — when the document was signed (blank until signed).
Signed requests appear dimmed. Cancelled requests appear dimmed with strikethrough text. If a contact declined and provided a reason, hover over the Declined badge to see the reason in a tooltip.
