Overview
Every task in Cloudclerk has one of six statuses. You can change a task's status at any time from the task detail page or through bulk actions on the task list. Every status change is recorded in the activity feed with who made the change and when.
The Six Statuses
| Status | Label | Description | |--------|-------|-------------| | Not Started | Not Started | The task has been created but work has not begun. This is the default for new tasks. | | In Progress | In Progress | Someone is actively working on the task. | | Blocked | Blocked | Work cannot continue. Something external is preventing progress. | | In Review | In Review | The work is done and awaiting review or sign-off. | | Completed | Completed | The task is finished. | | Cancelled | Cancelled | The task has been abandoned and will not be completed. |
Visual Indicators
Each status has a distinct visual treatment in the task list:
- Blocked rows show a red left border to draw attention
- Completed rows appear in muted (dimmed) text
- Cancelled rows appear in muted text with a strikethrough
Changing Status
- 1
Open the task by clicking its row in the task list.
- 2

- 3
The change takes effect immediately. A record appears in the activity feed showing the previous and new status.
You can also set a task to Completed in one click by pressing the Mark Complete button in the page header. This button is hidden once the task is already Completed or Cancelled.
Bulk Status Changes
From the task list, select one or more tasks using the checkboxes, then click Change Status in the bulk action bar and pick the desired status. All selected tasks update at once.
Use the Status faceted filter on the task list to quickly view only tasks in a particular state, such as all blocked tasks.
