Overview
Every task has an activity section that combines notes, file attachments, and a system-generated activity log into a single chronological feed. You will find this in the left column of the task detail page under the Activity card.
Adding a Note
- 1
Open a task from the task list.
- 2
Scroll to the Activity card at the bottom of the left column.
- 3
Type your message in the editor. You can format text with bold, italic, and lists. To mention a colleague, type @ followed by their name and select from the suggestion list.
- 4
Click Comment to post the note. It appears in the feed with your name and a timestamp.
Mentioned colleagues receive a notification so they can follow up quickly.
Uploading Attachments
- 1
Open a task and find the Attachments card in the left column.
- 2
Click Upload and select a file from your computer. The maximum file size is 25 MB.
- 3
The file appears in the attachment list showing the file name, size, and who uploaded it.
Each attachment has two action buttons:
- Download — saves the file to your computer
- Delete — removes the attachment (hold Shift and click to skip the confirmation prompt)
Activity Feed
The activity feed merges notes and system events into one timeline, sorted oldest first. System events are logged automatically for status changes, priority changes, assignee and watcher updates, due date changes, client linking, attachment uploads and removals, title or description edits, and time recordings. Each event shows who performed the action and when.
