Overview
The calendar pulls data from six different sources and overlays them on a single grid. Each source is called a layer. You can turn layers on or off to focus on the information that matters to you, and apply filters by client or assignee. Your layer preferences are saved in your browser so they persist between sessions.
Available Layers
The sidebar lists the following layers under the Layers heading, each with a colour-coded checkbox:
- Tasks (blue) — tasks shown by their due date
- Tax Periods (orange) — client tax period deadlines
- Invoices (green) — invoices shown by their due date
- Doc Requests (purple) — document requests shown by their deadline
- Signing Requests (red) — signing requests shown by their deadline
- Events (indigo) — custom calendar events you have created
By default all layers are enabled except Tax Periods.
Toggling Layers
- 1
Find the Layers section in the left sidebar.
- 2
Tick or untick a checkbox to show or hide that layer. The calendar updates immediately.
Event Categories
When the Events layer is enabled and you have event categories defined, a list of category names with colour dots appears beneath the Events checkbox. This legend helps you identify what each event colour represents.
Filtering by Client
Hover over any item pill on the calendar and click the filter icon next to the client name in the hover card. The calendar narrows to show only items for that client. A label appears under Filters in the sidebar confirming the active client filter. Click Clear to remove it.
Hiding Completed Items
Under Filters in the sidebar, the Hide completed toggle is on by default. When enabled, items with a status of completed, cancelled, paid, signed, approved, or closed are hidden from the calendar. Turn this off to see everything.
Layer visibility is stored in your browser's local storage. If you switch browsers or clear your data, layers reset to the defaults.
